Covid-19

All instructors employed directly by Girl Power Workshops are fully vaccinated. Chairs and shared props are wiped down throughout the day and bathrooms are cleaned regularly during the workshop. Girls are encouraged to bring along their own pens, pencils, scissors, glue sticks etc to minimise the sharing of these items.

Cancellations

Once full or part payment for a workshop of course has been received by Girl Power Workshops, the following cancellation policy applies. Substitution of an alternative day, time and workshop/course type within six months  for the same child can be negotiated with Girl Power Workshops (pending availability); however, requests for cancellation of the booking cannot be refunded once payment has been received unless your request qualifies under the following:

Change of Mind 

Requests for a credit for future use may be considered on a case-by-case basis, please email info@girlpowerworkshops.com.au with your concerns and outline your reasons for cancellation.

Permanent Illness 

Doctor’s certificate required stating the child is unfit to participate in the course or workshop at present and in the future. In this instance, a refund of the fee will be granted.

Temporary Illness  

Doctor’s certificate required stating the child is unfit to participate for a specified time period. In this instance, a credit of will be applied to be used at Girl Power Workshops once the child is well and fit enough to continue. Fees will be credited for future use from the date of which the certificate is received by Girl Power Workshops.

Family emergency/illness

Doctor’s certificate or other supporting documentation from a professional (eg school principal, police, Families SA) required. In this instance, a credit will be applied to be used at Girl Power Workshops once the family is in a state to continue. Fees will be credited for future use from the date of which the certificate or documentation is received by Girl Power Workshops.

Viewing of workshops by Parents/caregivers

Parents/Caregivers of children of school age may not stay during workshops, unless previously discussed and negotiated with the instructor. This is to minimise distractions and enable us to establish a calm and supportive atmosphere. However, Parents/carers are often be invited to view the last 15-30 minutes of a workshop. 

 

Online Classes

In the event your child is attending an online class or workshop, by making payment you are thereby providing permission for your child to connect with Girl Power Workshops instructors during scheduled workshop times, via online video conferencing software.

 

Images of students

When booking your child into a workshop, you will have the opportunity to approve or not approve the use of photographs and video footage of your child. Photographs and video footage of students may be used for internal training purposes and for promotional publications including, but not limited to: use on the Girl Power Workshops website and social media pages, newspapers, brochures, radio and/or television.
